Cooperative Communications

Research interests

The issue consists in designing cooperative protocols at both the physical (PHY) layer and the medium acess contrel (MAC) layer. At the PHY layer, transmission protocols are designed with the purpose of optimizing the diversity-multiplexing trade-off (DMT) of the communications. At the MAC layer, cooperative access protocols are designed in order to allocate relay terminals to direct links with a minimal amount of signaling overhead.
